The Oxenhope Pre-School Team
All of our staff hold an Enhanced and Barred List Check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Each child is assigned a Key Person, you can read more about this in the document below:

Pre-School Manager - Sophie Linley
Sophie has recently joined us as Oxenhope Pre-School Manager. She has extensive early years experience and experience within setting management. Sophie is on hand for all admin related queries at pre-school and oversees general daily running. Sophie lives locally and is Mum to a daughter who is soon moving onto high school. Sophie has a real passion for making a difference to children within the early years and continuing to uphold and develop our existing pre-school standards. Sophie is the Designated Safeguarding Lead at pre-school and also holds a Level 3 Paediatric Frist Aid.

Pre-School Deputy Manager - Charlotte Whitrick
Charlotte began volunteering at pre-school in September 2012 whilst completing her Level 3 qualification. She then joined us as a permanent member of staff in September 2014. Charlotte has one daughter who attends secondary school, however a long time ago she attended pre-school too! Charlotte is an incredibly experienced and knowledgeable Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator and has undertaken extensive training in this area. Charlotte has a wonderful commitment to early identification, intervention and achieving the best possible outcomes for children and their families. Charlotte is Key Person for Red Group and holds a current Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certificate and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Pre-School Practitioner - Beth Eastwood
Beth joined us at pre-school in June 2016. She is currently on maternity leave following the birth of her lovely baby boy. Beth has lots of experience working within early years and holds a Level 3 in The Children's and Young People's Workforce Development. Beth is extremely committed her to own continued professional development and also attends university part time, studying Early Years. Beth has two sons now, one of which used to attend pre-school now before moving onto the local Primary School. She has a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certificate and when in pre-school, is the Key Person for Yellow Group.

Pre-School Practitioner - Hannah Inman
We recently welcomed Hannah back into pre-school following her maternity leave and we are extremely glad to have her back following the birth of her wonderful daughter! She began working for us in September 2014 and holds a level 3 qualification in The Children's and Young People's Workforce. Hannah is also the setting Health & Safety Officer following extensive training. Again, Hannah has a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certificate and is the Key Person for Purple Group.

Pre-School Practitioner - Helen Feather
We recently welcomed Helen to Oxenhope Pre-School as a practitioner. Helen has lots of experience working with a vast range of age groups within primary schools and she is looking forward to spending more time in early years, where her passion lies. Helen is the Key Person for Yellow Group whilst Beth is on maternity leave. She also has a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid certificate.
The Oxenhope Pre-School Committee Members
Oxenhope Pre-School is a non-profit making, registered charity, which is run by a committee of volunteers.
Our committee is made up of parents and other individuals who volunteer their time to fill this important role.
Amongst other things the Committee are responsible for hiring staff, organising fundraising events, carrying out the leader's appraisal, managing the finances and much more!
We always welcome new members and no previous experience is necessary. If you feel that you can contribute some of your time please let one of us know. We generally meet once every term for a couple of hours in the village pub and are all members of the local community who want to contribute to the way pre-school is run. You do not need to be a parent to join our commitee nor do you need to have any childcare/education experience.


Pre-School Chair Person - Laura Cockroft
Laura lives in Oxenhope and has two children who both attend the local Primary School but have attended pre-school in previous years. Laura is a trained Nursery Nurse and Primary School Teacher and has worked in nurseries and primary schools for over ten years, currently working in early years. Laura enjoys cooking, walking, swimming and spending time with her family. Laura is the committee Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Treasurer - Tony Neary
Tony is the Pre-School Treasurer and has been involved in pre-school for many years. His background is in banking. Tony has 3 children who all attended pre-school. In his spare time, Tony enjoys cycling and running.
