The Oxenhope Pre-School Committee Members

Oxenhope Pre-School is a non-profit making, registered charity, which is run by a committee of volunteers.

Our committee is made up of parents and other individuals who volunteer their time to fill this important role.

Amongst other things the Committee are responsible for hiring staff, organising fundraising events, carrying out the leader's appraisal, managing the finances and much more!

We always welcome new members and no previous experience is necessary. If you feel that you can contribute some of your time please let one of us know. We generally meet once every term for a couple of hours in the village pub and are all members of the local community who want to contribute to the way pre-school is run. You do not need to be a parent to join our commitee nor do you need to have any childcare/education experience.

Chairperson - Laura Cockroft

I have lived in Oxenhope for over seven years and have two boys aged one and three years old. The eldest is in his second year at Pre-School. I am a trained Nursery Nurse and Primary School Teacher and have worked in nurseries and primary schools for over ten years. I am currently working in Early Years. I enjoy cooking, walking, swimming and spending time with family. On the committee Laura is the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Secretary - Tamsin Foxon

Tamsin is our secretary and lives in Oxenhope. Her two boys have both attended the pre-school, with the oldest one now at the primary school. She is a trained primary school teacher and taught for 9 years before running her own swim school, which she recently sold. Tamsin really likes being part of the pre-school team and the community and enjoys walking, yoga and paddleboarding.

Treasurer - Tony Neary

Tony is the Pre-School Treasurer and his background is in banking. He has two daughters, both who attended pre-school in previous years. In his spare time Tony enjoys cycling and running.

Hilary Ellis

Hilary is a mum to two children, one who attends pre-school and her eldest is at Primary School. She works from home as a CAD Designer and enjoys helping out with fundraising events.
